Self Employed
We’re here to ensure you are running your business tax effectively, and you never have to worry about missing an important deadline.
Let’s make sure you’ve got all bases covered today.
What is a sole trader / self employed business?
If you are self employed then that means you own your own business in your own name and work for yourself. A sole trader or self employed person is not a limited company.
What records do you need to keep?
If you are self employed, you’ll be responsible for advising HMRC of all your income - including appropriate taxes too. In order to do this efficiently, ensure you keep records of your income and expenditure. We use data capture apps, such as Dext, to make this an easy process.
You are also responsible for filing tax returns. Or, of course, you can always have your trusted accountant do it on your behalf.
“I recently became self employed and have been using Stone Balance Accounting to help with my tax return. Simon has been an invaluable help to me in this process - he is so organised, helpful and informative and has made everything so easy for me.”
